The end of a long week

This past week was just long, not sure why.
Julie drew her first person the other day, it was her she said. I cant believe how fast these kids grow.
Julie had her 3 year check up last week. She is 32 lbs and 38 inches. She has finally caught up weight wise and devlopmentally. Im so happy!

Not a whole lot to really write about since its been so quiet here. We have 2 friends coming down for the next 6 weeks or so. Is a Marine who Jimmy worked with in San Diego, he was also our room mate, the other is our friend from Okinawa, another Marine that worked with Jimmy. 2 of our kids are the same age, the oldest and youngest. They are both coming out here to the school house where Jimmy teaches food service at. Im hoping we can meet up with each of them, even though its not allowed since they are going through the course.
Yesterday we went out to Petersburg Battlefield to walk Tanner and take flat Anthony for a tour. We didnt go to far on the trails, that place is huge!
We rearranged the desk room, bought a new tv and stand, this way Jimmy can play his xbox and not take up the main tv which forced me upstairs. I think it worked out really well. Pictures will follow another day.

who stole the cookies from the cookie jar?

I have no clue, but i do know Tanner keeps trying to sneak his butt in the kitchen to get into the cookies i already hid from him. I was craving something chocolaty and rich, but quick to make. I hoped on my trusted recipe site and looked at tons of recipes. Then there it was, the cookie i had been craving!
Double Chocolate chip cookies, and these arent your average cookie. I had made some by Mrs. Fields that were not as good as these. Fat, rich and super soft, not to mention chocolaty!!! I had 2 and that was more then enough.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter- softened
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups white chocolate chips

preheat oven at 350, grease cookie sheets
Cream butter and sugars, add eggs. Mix in cocoa powder, baking soda and flour. Stir in White chips.
drop by tablespoon on cookie sheet and bake for 10 min, cool for 2

We got Julie a game for the Wii today, Kai Lan. Its so cute, and she looks so cute playing it. There are only a couple of games she can play on it right now, but its better then the 1 we usually have her play.

I finally pulled my carrots up in my garden. Im so surprised they lived through are snow and cold spell. I have yet to eat them, im saving them for our roast this week.

is it really 2010?

Wow, i can't believe its been a year since i have posted. I shall get better at this, maybe a daily post, who knows.

We adopted a dog today from PetMart. As soon as we seen him we knew, he was the one for our family. Tanner is a lab/basset hound mix. He has the ears and legs of a basset hound and the face of a lab. He is adorable! Tanner is fully house broken, awesome with the kids, he does not jump, is really calm and doesnt give a crap about our cat Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell on the other hand is trying to get use to this creature in her house. She will hiss at him and creap by him in stealth mode when he is sleeping. I think they are going to be best buds in a month!
Julie also had her 3rd birthday this week. I can't believe she is 3, although she thinks she is grown.
On her birthday we had a pizza playdate, which she had a blast at. That night we went to Sam's Club to get a yummy hot dog, or as Julie corrected me "hock gog" and i picked up a cake.
She recieved a few things which she totally adores. Our friend Jessica got her a Princess "fishing" flowers game, and a tinkerbell coloring book. My mom got her a baby cradle, which she carried the box around until Jimmy put it togther, We got her a Yo Gabba Gabba juke box and a hard plastic stroller ( which is on its way).

Chole our othe cat stayed back at my moms house. We went there for Christmas and she fell in love with her. Chole is now totally spoiled and back to her old self. I dont think she liked sharing the house with Tinkerbell, she was always wanting outside. Now she is the Queen of her castle and has a fire stove to rest in front of!

Yesterday we took Julie to the Playroom here to "meet Elmo". She didnt want anything to do with that red dude. Julie would creep around him or wait until he looked away and run past him, lmao.
